Terms & Conditions:
The only method of payment accepted is most major credit cards.
Drivers must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years and must not have had more than 1 accident within the past 3 years.
The minimum age for hire is 21 - maximum age is 70.
If you have a drink driving or dangerous driving offence we can not insure you until 10 years after the offence. Drink driving is now 7 years from time of conviction.
The following documentation is required on collection of any vehicle : Driving Licence. One other form of identification i.e. recent utility bill, bank statement etc.. verifying current residential address.
Deposit of £25 is taken when booking is made. This is non-refundable!
Prices include taxes, breakdown cover, limited mileage, insurance and vat.
We do not provide fuel. You pick the vehicle up with little fuel and this is how to return it.
White Diesel only.
Mileage charge. First 200 miles are free. A mileage charge of 12p per mile will apply for any additional miles driven.
Damage Excess is £750. This will be deducted from credit/debit card used for payment of hire vehicle if there is any damage to the vehicle. We do offer a collision damage waiver (CDW) excess which is £10 for the first day and £5 per day thereafter (this will reduce your excess from £750 to £150). For under-25's the (CDW) excess is also £10 for the first day and £5 per day thereafter (but reduces excess from £1000 to £250).
Penalties and charges incurred for late return which will also be deducted from credit/debit card used for payment of hire vehicle.
Under 25 drivers will be charged an extra £20 on top of price. Additional drivers will be an extra £10 charge.
Any fixed penalties that customers receive during the hire of our vehicles and subesquently sent to us will be forwarded direct to the appropriate fines companies. We also make a charge of £25 to cover our administration costs.
Please note, if you have the new style driving licence, we require both parts of driving licence paper and card copy.
Checks can be made with DLVA but charges do apply.
HIRE TIMES
Weekday hires (Monday - Friday) from 8.30am until 8.30am the next morning (24 hrs).
Sat hires: 8.30am - 7.00pm.
Weekend hires, Sat 8.30am until Monday 8.30am (48 hrs).
Yard closes at 7.00pm so vehicles must be back before then otherwise weekend rate will be charged.
Vehicles left outside the yard will be uninsured and the hirer will be fined!
Parking facilties available on site. Please note, all vehicles parked on Winterbourne Van Hire's premises are entirely at the owners' risk. 24 hour CCTV cameras are in operation.
